Inspired by my own television consumption habits, Tunnel Vision aims to capture how this popular media is used as both a source of escape and addiction. Many find comfort in the distraction of television, as the alternate realities often act as a temporary relief from real-life problems.
While focusing on the alternate realities of other people’s drama within the screen, it obliterates the viewer's sense of loneliness.As time passes, television becomes the only way the viewer can escape from the pain and problems of life. This can escalate into addiction, as illustrated in view A, the viewer eventually becomes consumed by this form of passive “non-engagement” with life, their entire being is completely immersed within the altered reality.
